UX and UI design of the new iKhokha mobile app. Project involved the construction of the functional spec, in conjunction with the product team. I carried out the UX framework and designed the UI based on key findings and user insights.
With SMEs being the backbone of our economy, it is crucial that as a business we build tools to simplify the business landscape and build products to aid business owners with easier access to financial tools. Financial inclusion is possible for SMEs, however it is increasingly challenging without support from tech and financial institutes. Thus is the core of iKhokha, to build the tools entruepeners need to grow.
iKhokha found opportunity in creating one app that gives business owners access to all the tools they need to manage their business. A feature rich app that is designed to deliver on the brand promise of 'making business easier'. With the solution defined, it was crucial to have a user experience that delivers on the brand promise. A simple, user friendly app that truly makes life easier for the user; with a beautiful, but on brand UI that is deisgned based on the user needs and expectations.
iKhokha is a free business app that doesn't have any hidden costs and only carries a transaction rate to facilitate payments, which is the lowest standard transaction rate in South Africa. Further making business easier.
The app is built to deliver all the tools business owners need to manage their entire business. So with each feature being a standalone product that business owners need, it is imapactful to be able to bundle all these products in one app to allow users to truly thrive on one platform and eliminate the need for multiple products at significant cost.
